|
NOTES
These
instructions are designed an easy guide to fitting the MAGLOCK locking system to
a cupboard. These instructions are based on our knowledge of a small range of
cupboards and it may be necessary to revise the fitting to suite cupboards that
do not conform exactly to our fitting criteria.

MAGLOCK FITTING
 |
Align
the door template about mid height on the two leaf doors so that the
centre-line mark lines up with the point where the two doors meet and tape
in place using masking tape or similar. |
 |
It
may be necessary to remove the existing door lock and handle system or to
position the MAGLOCK assembly above or below the existing door lock or
handle. |
 |
Using
the centre punch mark the holes as indicated on the template. |
 |
Drill/punch
all the holes according to the template. |
 |
Remove
the template and tape and de-burr all the holes.
|
 |
Feed
MAGLOCK connecting cable through large hole and fit this part with the 4 off
M4 pan head screws and washers.
|
 |
Fit
the MAGLOCK handle assembly to the opposing door leaf and fit with the 4 off
M5 countersunk head screws and washers and nylon nuts.
|
 |
Fit
the cover plate into the recess on the handle to hide the fitting screws.
|
|
|
CONTROLLER
MODULE FITTING
 | Decide
where the controller module is to be fitted. This wants to be either on the
top or side of the cabinet, with easy access to the override, touch sensor
and status led.
|
 | Using
the supplied controller template place this in the desired position and fix
with masking tape.
|
 | Centre
punch the marked holes and drill according to the template, ensuring that
these are de-burred. Remove the template.
|
 | Using
the supplied adhesive cable bases and wiring ties, route the MAGLOCK cable
around the cabinet, ensuring enough slack is allowed at the door hinge,
around to the large hole in the controller fixing position.
|
 | Feed
the MAGLOCK cable through the large cable hole.
|
 | Cut
cable to suitable length and strip ends ready for insertion into the spring
loaded terminals on the controller module.
|
 | Remove
the base from the control module.
|
 | Feed
the cable through the grommet in the base and allowing enough slack to refit
the lid, terminate the cables according to the wiring diagram on the
controller MAGLOCK connector.
|
 | Re-fit
the lid ensuring that all the connections are still in place.
|
 | Fit
the control module using the M4 pan head screws, washers and nylon nuts.
|
 | At
this point you are now ready to start using your Intelligent Locking
cupboard.
